Overview

• Organizers say preparations are in full swing for the Oct. 2–4 Bfcrgerfest in central Saarbrfccken, featuring about 600 artists across roughly 20 stages and scene areas.
• Street closures and setup are progressing this week, with more than 200 exhibitors due to complete their installations by Oct. 2.
• Citizen delegations of eight people from each federal state are scheduled to arrive on Oct. 1 for a four-day Saarland program.
• Unity Day on Oct. 3 will include an ecumenical service at Ludwigskirche followed by a Festakt with around 900 invited guests; SR plans to broadcast the service and ZDF the ceremony.
• While Saarland hosts the central celebrations, Brandenburg cities plan their own commemorations on Oct. 3, including events in Cottbus, Potsdam, Brandenburg an der Havel and Teltow, with Berlin state representations opening to visitors.
