Overview

  • The 18-month extension formalizes the interim supervision order first applied after Haydon’s release in May 2024.
  • He must reside at an approved address, report regularly to a community corrections officer and abstain from illegal drugs.
  • Earlier restrictions such as a curfew, alcohol ban and electronic monitoring bracelet have been removed under the new order.
  • Haydon served 25 years for covering up seven killings in the 1992–1999 Snowtown murders and concealing victims in barrels.
  • Justice Stein warned any breach would return Haydon to custody and his defence did not oppose the state’s application.
