- Roderick Orme raped, beat and strangled 34-year-old nurse Lisa Redd in a Panama City motel in March 1992 and was convicted the following year.
- After resentencings in 2007 and 2017 tied to sentencing standards, Orme received a third death sentence in March 2022 and remains on Florida’s death row.
- At the 2022 hearing, he waived mitigating evidence and told the court he would accept execution in the hope of giving the family peace.
