Ryanair Cuts Passenger Forecast Again Due to Boeing Delays

The airline now expects 206 million passengers for 2025-26, citing ongoing delivery setbacks of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

  • Ryanair has reduced its passenger forecast for the 2025-26 financial year to 206 million, down from the previously revised 210 million estimate.
  • The airline attributes the adjustment to delays in Boeing's delivery of 737 MAX aircraft, stemming from production issues and a 2024 strike.
  • Ryanair's profits for the last quarter of 2024 reached €149 million, significantly exceeding analyst expectations, supported by higher fares and strong holiday bookings.
  • Despite the delays, Ryanair expects to receive nine Boeing aircraft before summer 2025, but the remaining 29 will not arrive until spring 2026.
  • The company projects profits for the 2024-25 financial year to range between €1.55 billion and €1.61 billion, a decline from €1.92 billion in the previous year.
