Overview
- Monday’s leak, attributed to CartierFilms and reported by multiple outlets, says Ryan Reynolds is writing a Marvel project focused on a Canada‑based superhero team and that it might either stand alone or be folded into Deadpool 4.
- The same report says a new actor is in talks to take over Wolverine and that the character could debut in the Reynolds‑written project.
- CartierFilms also circulated casting rumors for the MCU’s announced X‑Men film slated for May 5, 2028, including Morgan Spector being eyed for Wolverine and auditions for roles such as Polaris, Kitty Pryde and a possible Jubilee.
- None of the project or casting claims have been confirmed by Marvel Studios or Disney and all coverage presents the details as unverified industry leaks.
- Alpha Flight is a long‑running but lower‑profile Marvel team first seen in 1979 and commentators note Deadpool’s fourth‑wall, crossover style gives Reynolds a plausible way to introduce new or recast mutant characters into the MCU’s planned reboot.
