Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort Announces Docuseries on Edmonton Oilers' 1980s Dynasty

  • The docuseries, titled 'The Great Ones,' will chronicle the Edmonton Oilers' five Stanley Cup victories between 1983 and 1990.
  • Produced by Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort in collaboration with Score G Productions, Fennessey Films, Super Channel, and OEG Sports & Entertainment.
  • The series will feature new interviews with Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, and others, alongside rivals, broadcasters, and behind-the-scenes figures.
  • Directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Austin Andrews, the series is set to debut on Super Channel in winter 2027.
