Ryan Hunter-Reay to Drive Arrow McLaren’s Fourth Entry in 2026 Indy 500

Arrow McLaren turns to the 2014 winner’s experience in the No. 31 to reinforce its one-off Indy 500 program.

Overview

  • The team confirmed Hunter-Reay will pilot the No. 31 Chevrolet at the 110th Indianapolis 500, joining Pato O’Ward, Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard for May 2026.
  • Hunter-Reay’s 2025 Indy 500 run featured 48 laps led from 24th on the grid before a refueling restart issue undercut his late charge.

  • The 2012 IndyCar champion and 2014 Indy 500 victor enters with 395 starts, 18 wins and 47 podiums, returning to the No. 31 he first raced in 2003 as he targets an 18th Indy 500 start.
  • Hunter-Reay has signed a multi-year deal with Arrow McLaren, with an expanded role beyond May expected but still being defined.
