Ryan Gosling is reportedly in talks with Marvel Studios to play the character Nova, also known as Richard Rider, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rumors of Gosling's potential role in the MCU began circulating after his meeting with Marvel head Kevin Feige in December 2023.
Nova is a powerful superhero with abilities including enhanced strength, superior speed, flight, and energy manipulation, who is connected to the Xandar Worldmind, a repository of all Xandarian knowledge.
Official confirmation of plans to bring Nova to screen was made in March 2022, and it is speculated that the Nova project could be a live-action Disney+ series.
Gosling, who has previously expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider, has not yet been officially cast as Nova.
