Overview
- The October livestock update, released in early October, introduces farmable cows and sheep that players can capture, pen, breed and harvest for dung, meat, bones, leather, milk and wool.
- Milk can be refrigerated for four hours then skimmed to produce skimmed milk and cream, with cream acting as a stronger consumable that can boost tea effects and other recipes.
- A new biofuel generator lets players convert raw or spoiled meat and other organic matter into low-grade fuel, with the device requiring manual stirring at regular intervals to produce fuel.
- Facepunch added a Stable vendor that buys animals and wool with randomized offers that players can reject up to three times before a 15-minute cooldown, and animals use a genetics system so offspring inherit traits that affect value and output.
- The patch also expands locked loot rooms at monuments, applies heavy fuse decay scaling to protect low-population servers, requires helipad repairs to unlock vehicle vendors after wipes, adds decorative wildlife, and offers a temporary option to switch to a custom render pipeline ahead of a mandatory Halloween update later in October.
