Overview

  • At least 31 people, including five children, were killed and more than 150 injured when Russia launched 309 Shahed drones and eight Iskander-K cruise missiles at Kyiv on July 31.
  • A large section of a nine-storey residential building collapsed and over 100 structures—ranging from homes to schools and hospitals—sustained damage across 27 locations in the city.
  • Kyiv observed an official day of mourning and completed all rescue and recovery efforts after emergency crews worked through the night clearing more than 2,000 tons of rubble.
