Russian Soldiers Charged in Torture and Death of American in Ukraine

Russell Bentley, a Texan who supported pro-Russian forces, was allegedly tortured and killed by Russian servicemen in Donetsk.

Russell Bentley, a U.S. national, was killed in Donetsk on April 8 after being tortured by Russian soldiers.
Bentley, a supporter of Russian-backed forces, had been living in eastern Ukraine since 2014 and obtained Russian citizenship.
The Russian Investigative Committee has charged four soldiers with Bentley's torture and murder, as well as attempting to conceal the crime.
The soldiers allegedly used electric shocks and explosives to kill Bentley and dispose of his body.
Bentley was known for his pro-Russian activism and had worked with Russian media outlets like Sputnik.
