Russian Skater Kamila Valieva Eyes Comeback After Doping Ban

Kamila Valieva, a Russian figure skater, is currently serving a four-year ban after testing positive for trimetazidine, a banned heart medication.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport imposed the ban, which was backdated to her positive test at the Russian national championships in December 2021.
The ban resulted in the Olympic Committee being stripped of its team gold medal from the 2022 Beijing Winter Games.
Valieva claims the positive test might have been due to accidental consumption of her grandfather's heart medication.
Despite the ban, Valieva remains confident about her return to the sport, receiving support from Russian sports figures and planning to resume competition once her suspension ends.
