Russian Airstrikes on Crowded Syrian Market Kill at Least 11

Russian fighter jets launched airstrikes on a vegetable market and surrounding areas in northwestern Syria, killing at least 11 people and wounding 30 others.
The airstrikes targeted the opposition-held town of Jisr al-Shughur, located in Syria's last rebel stronghold.
The attacks were reportedly in retaliation for recent attacks on army outposts blamed on jihadist groups active in the region.
Rescue workers rushed victims to local hospitals in trucks normally used to transport produce.
The region is dominated by Hayat Tahrir al Sham but also has a strong presence of Turkish-backed opposition groups.
