Russian Actress Dies After Being Swept Away by Wave in Thailand

Kamilla Belyatskaya, a 24-year-old Russian actress, died after being swept into the sea by a massive wave while meditating at the Lad Koh viewpoint in Koh Samui, Thailand.
She had been visiting the island with her fiancé, who was unaware of her plans to visit the viewpoint that day and learned of her death through social media.
Rescue teams arrived 15 minutes after the incident but were unable to save her due to dangerous wave conditions, with waves reportedly reaching up to nine feet.
Her body was found two days later on Chaweng Noi Beach, approximately two-thirds of a mile from where she was swept away.
Local authorities have since closed access to the rocky area below the viewpoint and reiterated warnings about the hazards of monsoon season for tourists in high-risk areas.
