Overview

• Russia’s defense ministry reported that from 15:00 Sept. 22 to midnight Sept. 23, air defenses destroyed 81 UAVs over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Ryazan, Tula, the Moscow region, Crimea and the Black Sea.
• Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said successive waves targeting the capital were intercepted through Tuesday morning, with emergency teams working at debris sites and initial reports of no serious damage.
• The defense ministry said overnight strikes hit Ukrainian special operations units and foreign fighters in Odesa region, UAV storage at the Shkolny airfield, and assembly shops at Motor Sich.
• Belgorod’s governor reported eight civilians wounded in regional drone incidents, including blast and barotrauma cases requiring hospitalization.
