Russia Reports Local Gains and Downs Drones as Cross-Border Strikes Hit Power in Belgorod and Voronezh

Ukraine faces fresh air-raid alerts and energy disruptions as officials on both sides highlight drone warfare and shifting battlefield lines.

Overview

  • Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces seized more than two square kilometers near Rybnoe in Zaporizhzhia and reported up to 95 Ukrainian personnel lost in the “Dnepr” sector, up to 130 in the Donetsk area under the “South” group, and up to 50 near Kupyansk, including the destruction of a U.S.-made Paladin.
  • Russian air defenses reported shooting down 15 Ukrainian UAVs between 20:00 and 23:00 Moscow time over Crimea, the Black Sea and the Rostov region.
  • Regional authorities in Russia reported civilian infrastructure impacts: Belgorod’s energy and heat supply was seriously damaged with more than 20,000 residents without power, Voronezh saw drones suppressed by EW and a fire at a communal facility with temporary utility disruptions, and in Kursk debris from a downed drone damaged a private home after an attempted TPP attack said to have failed.
  • Ukraine’s online alert map showed air-raid warnings across Kyiv and multiple oblasts, and Ukrainian sources reported extensive Russian drone strikes since November 8 that triggered rolling blackouts and halted Kharkiv’s metro as repairs continued.
  • Donetsk region leader Denis Pushilin said Ukrainian troops near the Krasnoarmeysk–Dimitrov agglomeration are surrendering, and Latvia’s defense minister declared his country a “drone superpower,” citing a full UAV ecosystem and continued deliveries to Ukraine.
