Russia Pushes Into Pokrovsk Under Fog as Ukraine Pulls Back in Zaporizhzhia

Ukraine says Moscow has concentrated about 150,000 troops for the operation.

Overview

  • Ukraine’s General Staff reported 206 combat clashes on Nov. 11, including 72 assaults in the Pokrovsk sector, with 60 guided bombs dropped, 2,809 kamikaze drone strikes, and 3,231 artillery and mortar shellings recorded that day.
  • The 7th Rapid Response Corps said more than 300 Russian troops infiltrated Pokrovsk from the southern outskirts under dense fog, while Ukrainian units continue clearing operations and deny any encirclement.
  • Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces confirmed a withdrawal from positions near Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in Zaporizhzhia to save personnel after intensified assaults and more than 400 daily artillery strikes that destroyed most shelters.
  • Kyiv reports heavy Russian losses in the Pokrovsk fighting, citing 94 troops neutralized on Nov. 11 and 162 killed in the city since the start of the month, figures that could not be independently verified.
  • Ukrainian officials say poor visibility has reduced aerial reconnaissance and enabled Russian infiltrations, while logistics to nearby Myrnohrad continue under pressure and Moscow’s claims of broader encirclements remain disputed.
