Overview

• Ukraine reported 32 missiles and 465 drones launched overnight on Oct. 9–10, with air defenses downing about 420 targets even as energy sites sustained direct hits.
• Kyiv authorities said 12 people were injured and later confirmed full restoration of water service, while power crews reconnected more than 500,000 customers by evening.
• Emergency power cuts remain in effect across parts of Kyiv and the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and sections of Cherkasy regions as repair work continues and critical facilities draw on generators.
• In Zaporizhzhia a 7-year-old was killed and at least 11 people were wounded, with damage to residential buildings and gas infrastructure and a temporary restriction on traffic over the DniproHES dam.
• The following night, drones struck Odesa, knocking out electricity in parts of the city and injuring one person as crews worked to restore service.
