Russia Marks Day of Heroes With Nationwide Tributes Including SVO Veterans

Authorities used the holiday to formalize SVO service within official remembrance.

  • Regions opened or dedicated new memorials and plaques in Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Kursk, Vladimir and Murmansk, held commemorations across Orenburg region, and unveiled school “hero desks” near Simferopol, while Karachaevo‑Cherkessia’s leader pledged to act on fighters’ requests.
