Overview

  • Russia fired 597 drones and 26 cruise missiles overnight across eastern and western Ukraine in its most intense long-range assault to date
  • Ukraine’s air force shot down 319 drones and 25 missiles while electronic warfare disrupted 258 decoy drones
  • At least two civilians were killed and 14 wounded in Chernivtsi as residential and administrative buildings were hit, with further injuries and damage reported in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Kherson
  • Polish and allied air forces scrambled fighter jets and boosted air defenses along the border in response to long-range Russian aviation threats
  • Kyiv struck back with drone attacks on Russian fighter jet and missile production facilities and pressed partners for more interceptor systems and tougher sanctions
