Overview

  • Russia deployed more than 315 attack drones, including 250 Iranian-designed Shaheds, and seven missiles—two of them North Korean-made—against Kyiv, Odesa and other regions during the five-hour raid
  • At least two civilians were killed and nine injured in Odesa when a maternity hospital, residential buildings and medical facilities were struck
  • In Kyiv, four people were wounded and debris from intercepted drones ignited fires across seven districts despite robust air defenses
  • The barrage follows Ukraine’s June 1 drone strike on Russian air bases and comes as stalled peace talks have yielded only prisoner exchanges
  • President Zelenskyy condemned the assault’s civilian focus and called on Europe and the United States to deliver concrete military aid and tougher sanctions measures
