Russia Launches 400-Drone and Missile Raid on Ukraine

Overview

  • Overnight Russia deployed about 400 Shahed attack drones and an Iskander-M missile targeting Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and other regions.
  • Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 198 drones and electronic warfare systems suppressed 145 drone simulators before they reached their targets.
  • Strikes damaged power grids, homes and public facilities, injuring at least 15 people in Kryvyi Rih, including one child.
  • Russia’s Defence Ministry reported destroying 55 Ukrainian drones over five Russian regions and the Black Sea in reciprocal engagements.
  • The barrage followed President Trump’s 50-day ultimatum for a peace deal and his announcement of additional air defense deliveries to Ukraine.
