Russia Invites PM Modi to Attend 80th Victory Day Parade in Moscow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to attend Russia's 80th Victory Day parade on May 9, commemorating the Soviet victory in World War II.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko confirmed that the invitation has been sent, and arrangements for Modi's visit are currently being worked out.
The event, held annually at Moscow's iconic Red Square, will also host leaders of other friendly nations as part of Russia's diplomatic outreach.
This invitation follows Modi's July 2024 visit to Russia, his first in five years, during which he invited President Vladimir Putin to visit India, a proposal Putin accepted.
Victory Day celebrates the historic signing of Germany's unconditional surrender in 1945, marking the end of World War II in Europe.
