Overview

• Russian forces massed offensives between Pokrovsk, Dobropillia and Kostiantynivka on August 5 but were repelled by Ukrainian defenders who inflicted heavy personnel losses.

• Drone and missile strikes in Lozova killed one railway worker, injured ten others including children, and severely damaged the station and depot, disrupting three major rail corridors.
• The Zaporizhzhia regional authorities reported 431 strikes on 16 settlements that killed four civilians, wounded three and damaged homes, power lines and public buildings.
