Overview

  • The Russian Defense Ministry said its forces seized Datchnoïe in Dnipropetrovsk, marking Moscow’s first gain in that region since February 2022, but Ukrainian commanders insist they repelled assaults and still control the village.

  • UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the strikes on civilians as violations of international law, and President Trump warned he could impose tougher sanctions on Russia.
