Overview

• Chinese customs reported Russia’s pipeline gas exports to China at $7.29 billion in January–September 2025, up 18.9% year on year and first by value.
• Turkmenistan ranked second over the period with $6.46 billion in pipeline gas sales to China, a decline of 12.7% from a year earlier.
• September pipeline receipts from Russia reached $802.2 million, edging $2.4 million higher than in August.
• Russia’s LNG deliveries to China totaled 4.99 million tonnes worth $2.83 billion in the first nine months, down 16.6% year on year and placing Russia third behind Australia and Qatar.
• Russian LNG shipments to China jumped 43.8% month on month in September to 975.5 thousand tonnes, with value up 25.5% to $478.2 million.
