Russia Approves 1.6 Billion Rubles for School Repairs in New Regions as Moscow and Yugra Advance Education Projects

The directive schedules disbursements from 2025 through 2027.

Overview

  • Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a directive allocating more than 1.6 billion rubles for capital repairs of kindergartens and schools in the DNR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
  • The federal funds will be distributed over 2025–2027 to carry out rehabilitation of educational facilities in the three territories.
  • Moscow added three flagship colleges to its 2026–2028 address investment program, with sites in Filevsky Park, Yuzhnoye Tushino and Lyublino serving more than 22,000 students.
  • Construction of the Moscow colleges is slated to begin in 2026 and the designs include classrooms, laboratories, workshops, sports halls and features for students with disabilities.
  • Yugra plans 32 new education facilities by 2030 and reports 14 school capital repairs completed since 2022 with five more due by the end of 2025, while seeking federal support to overhaul several aging buildings.
