  • The fire, which began early on May 23, 2025, at the Sanders Lodge industrial estate, involved a large quantity of plastic and produced thick black smoke visible for miles.
  • Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service deployed 10 fire engines, aerial units, water bowsers, and a high-volume pump, with support from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
  • Nearby industrial premises were evacuated, roads including the A5001 Wellingborough Road remain closed, and gas to the site has been isolated to protect up to 500 properties.
