Rummenigge Reflects on Bayern vs. Inter Champions League Clash

The former Bayern CEO expresses mixed emotions as his two former teams face off in the quarterfinals.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, former Bayern Munich CEO and ex-player for Inter Milan, shared his disappointment that the two clubs will meet in the Champions League quarterfinals instead of the final.
Rummenigge described Bayern and Inter as his 'two heart teams' and lamented that one will be eliminated from the competition at this stage.
The first leg of the quarterfinal will take place in Munich on April 8, with the return leg scheduled for April 16 in Milan.
Rummenigge also commented on the upcoming Nations League quarterfinals, where Germany will face Italy on March 20 and 23, noting the historical rivalry between the teams.
These Nations League matches will be the first international games after the deaths of football legends Franz Beckenbauer and Gigi Riva in January 2024.
