Rugby Player Api Ratuniyarawa Jailed for Sexual Assaults
The Fijian international, who assaulted three women in a Cardiff bar, has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison and his rugby career is effectively over.
- Api Ratuniyarawa, a Fijian rugby player, has been sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting three women in a Cardiff bar on three separate nights.
- The assaults, which were caught on CCTV, took place in the VIP area of the bar between 31 October and 2 November 2023.
- The victims, all 19 years old, did not know Ratuniyarawa or each other prior to the assaults.
- The assaults have effectively ended Ratuniyarawa's career, who had been a forward for London Irish before the club filed for administration.
- Ratuniyarawa has been placed on the sex offenders register and given a restraining order against one woman for three years.
