Washington County prosecutors in Utah released records detailing the child abuse inflicted by Ruby Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, on Franke's children.
The abuse, described as 'horrific' and motivated by 'religious extremism', included physical tasks, denial of food and water, and emotional torment.
Franke and Hildebrandt were sentenced to four to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to child abuse charges.
Evidence released includes Franke's diaries, bodycam footage of arrests, and videos showing the malnourished condition of the children.
During the sentencing, Franke apologized to her children, expressing regret for believing 'dark was light and right was wrong'.
