Overview
- San Lorenzo formally presented Insua as head coach and announced his technical staff, including Roberto Oste, Carlos Orsi, Fabián García and fitness coach Guillermo Cinquetti.
- Club leaders reached an agreement with Insua after contacting him while he was abroad and he began working with the squad immediately following the meeting.
- Insua said he will make almost no changes to the current starting lineup for now and will debut in the upcoming clásico at Avellaneda.
- The coach set a clear short-term objective to compete for a playoff spot with eight league matches left while the team sits one point outside the top eight.
- The appointment leans on Insua’s history at the club—three prior spells with 119 matches and a 2001/02 Copa Sudamericana title—while the club faces the uncertainty of more than ten possible player departures after December 31.
