Ruben Vargas has officially left FC Augsburg to join Spanish club FC Sevilla, effective immediately.
The 26-year-old Swiss national team player signed a contract with Sevilla until June 2029.
FC Augsburg and Sevilla have agreed to keep the financial terms of the transfer confidential, though reports suggest a fee of around €3 million.
Vargas, who joined Augsburg in 2019 from FC Luzern, played 154 Bundesliga matches and scored 20 goals during his tenure.
Augsburg's sporting director noted that the club sought a mutually beneficial solution after Vargas declined to extend his contract, which was set to expire this summer.
