RTL Sets April 'Inside' Series After Raab, Barth Ratings Slump

The broadcaster is pivoting from midweek variety to a four-part, brand-focused reportage run.

Overview

  • Stefan Raab was removed from RTL’s Wednesday 20:15 primetime after sustained audience declines, with a February episode drawing roughly 370,000 viewers and a 4.1% share among 14–49-year-olds.
  • RTL reassigned Raab to a late-night slot on Thursdays at 23:15, opening the midweek primetime hour for changes.
  • As a March stopgap, Mario Barth’s 'Mario Barth deckt auf!' returned on March 4 but reached only about 254,000 viewers in the key demo for a 6.2% share.
  • RTL confirmed an April rollout of the documentary-style 'Inside' series on Wednesdays: Inside Ferrero (Apr 1), Inside Ikea (Apr 8), Inside AIDA (Apr 15) and Inside OBI (Apr 22).
  • The network says the format will deliver 'real insights' into major brands, led by reporters Ralf Herrmann, Stefan Uhl and Carolin von der Groeben.
