RTL pauses 'Wer wird Millionär?' in May to debut replacement quiz shows
RTL is giving Günther Jauch a rest after April’s three-million-euro week with the quiz set to return on June 2.
Overview
- RTL will shelve its long-running quiz for all of May with new shows occupying its Monday 20:15 slot
- Daniel Hartwich’s Die perfekte Reihe – Das Bilder-Quiz airs on May 5 and 12 before Sonja Zietlow’s Schlauer als Alle. Schlägst du Deutschland? on May 19 and 26
- The network says the break is designed to grant host Günther Jauch a pause following a special consecutive-win '3-Millionen-Euro-Woche'
- Wer wird Millionär? has delivered decades of stable audiences, peaking at a 17.8 percent share among 14–49s in March
- The schedule overhaul follows recent rating declines at RTL that led to the cancellation of other prime-time shows
