RSS Opens Three-Day Coordination Meet in Visakhapatnam
Organisers say the meeting aims to convert a surge in youth registrations into coordinated outreach for drug prevention and civic programmes.
Overview
- The Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak began Wednesday, August 19, at Gudilova near Visakhapatnam with about 327 delegates from 32 RSS‑affiliated organisations attending.
- RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale are among senior leaders taking part in the structured deliberations.
- Delegates will focus on changing demographic patterns and rising drug abuse among young people, and consider an action plan for youth de‑addiction and public awareness.
- The meeting will review the Panch Parivartan campaign on social harmony, environment‑friendly lifestyles, family values, indigenous consciousness and civic duties and discuss a proposed Bharatiya Development Model that looks beyond GDP.
- The RSS reported a sharp rise in online 'Join RSS' registrations—from 57,423 in Jan–Jul 2025 to 123,287 in Jan–Jul 2026 with over 65% under 30—which organisers say informs the push for greater youth outreach and coordination.
