Overview
- Launching the three-day ‘100 Years Journey of RSS: New Horizons’ in New Delhi, Mohan Bhagwat said Hindu Rashtra is unrelated to political power and denotes justice and equality for all.
- Bhagwat defined ‘Hindu’ in civilisational terms rooted in shared geography, heritage and what he called a common DNA over millennia, stressing harmony over uniformity.
- He asserted the RSS maintains institutional autonomy, saying the Sangh does not remote control swayamsevaks or directly run party affairs, even as it communicates its values.
- RSS officials said roughly 1,300 guests attended, including former CJIs Ranjan Gogoi and J. S. Khehar, ex-service chiefs, union ministers, cultural figures and diplomats from about 25 embassies.
- The Delhi series will be followed by events in Bengaluru, Kolkata and Mumbai, feeding into mass outreach such as over one lakh planned Hindu Sammelans, a door-to-door contact drive and Bhagwat’s Vijayadashami address in Nagpur on October 2.
