Overview

• Task force teams on patrol from Alipiri intercepted vehicles near Aravind Eye Hospital in the Cherlopalli forest belt on September 8.
• A van, a car, and a motorcycle were seized with 27 logs found in the vehicles and nine recovered nearby, valued at about ₹60 lakh.
• Suspects attempted to flee upon spotting officers, but RSASTF personnel pursued and apprehended all six.
• Three arrested individuals are from Kattigenahalli in Karnataka, with the others from Annamayya, Chittoor, and Nellore districts in Andhra Pradesh.
• The logs and vehicles were taken to the Tirupati Task Force Police Station, a case was registered, and interrogation is underway, with the consignment reportedly bound for Karnataka.
