Royals Pitcher Hospitalized After Taking Line Drive to Face

Yarbrough allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings for his first win since August 2021 but had to exit after being struck in the left cheek by Ryan Noda's line drive.
Yarbrough was alert after being hit but was taken to the hospital for further testing, according to Royals manager Matt Quatraro.
The Royals placed Yarbrough on the 15-day injured list Monday with head fractures.
