• Only one out of 3,000 advent calendars, priced at £30 each, contains the gold coin, which can also be purchased online for £1,355.
• The 2024 coin design, by Robin Shaw, shows The Snowman decorating a Christmas tree, continuing a tradition started in 2018.
• The Snowman, a classic story by Raymond Briggs, has sold 5.5 million copies worldwide and inspired a popular animated film.
• Fans can visit the Royal Mint Experience in Llantrisant, South Wales, from November 11 to strike their own Snowman 50p coin.
