Overview
- Curator Caroline de Guitaut has released the full exhibition programme titled Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style plus an accompanying book, Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style.
- The show will run from spring to autumn 2026 at the King’s Gallery to mark what would have been Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday.
- Around 200 items of clothing and accessories will be displayed, with more than half presented to the public for the first time.
- Key highlights include the 1947 Norman Hartnell wedding dress, the Karachi state banquet gown featuring Pakistan’s national colours and early childhood ensembles.
- Never-before-seen design sketches, fabric samples and handwritten correspondence will reveal the Queen’s hands-on role and soft-power strategies, and tickets go on sale in November 2025.
