Rowenta Recalls Batteries in X‑Force Flex 14.60 and 15.60 Vacuums Over Fire Risk

The precaution targets units made before December 2024 following isolated cases of battery overheating.

Overview

  • Owners are urged to stop using listed devices, remove the battery, and register on Rowenta’s recall site for a free replacement.
  • Replacement batteries are expected to arrive within about 10 to 12 days, and the company advises proper disposal of the old units.
  • Affected models are confirmed by the first eight characters of the REF code inside the handle and a three‑character index on the battery such as 4Q1, 4Q2, 4Q3, or XXX.
  • Devices sold under Tefal and OBH with identical reference numbers are included, while other Rowenta X‑Force and X‑Pert vacuums are not affected.
  • Rowenta characterizes the issue as occurring in isolated cases and keeps existing warranties in place, adding a six‑month warranty for replacement batteries when original coverage has expired.
