Rowenta Recalls Batteries in X-Force Flex 14.60 and 15.60 Vacuums Over Fire Risk

Only units made before December 2024 qualify, with replacements shipped in about two weeks.

Overview

  • Rowenta urges owners to stop using the affected cordless models, power them off, and remove the battery immediately.
  • The recall applies to more than 27 specific references of X-Force Flex 14.60 and 15.60 units produced before December 2024.
  • Consumers can verify impact by removing the battery and checking the REF number inside the housing plus a three-character technical index such as 4Q1, 4Q2, 4Q3 or XXX if absent.
  • After registration on the recall site, a free replacement battery is typically delivered within 10 to 12 days, with a six‑month warranty if the device warranty has expired.
  • Products sold under Tefal and OBH with identical reference numbers are covered, and the hazard is linked to rare defects that can cause thermal runaway and fire.
