Overview

• Passengers must first book an onward journey for departures from October 13 to 26, then use "Book Return Journey (20% Discount)" to secure the discounted return between November 17 and December 1.
• The rebate applies only to the base fare of the return ticket; reservation charges, surcharges, GST and other fees remain payable in full.
• Only trains showing confirmed availability qualify, while Flexi/Dynamic‑fare services are excluded from the scheme.
• Return source and destination are preselected by the system, passenger details must match the onward PNR, and changes are not permitted after the onward ticket is issued.
• Indian Railways presents the app-based offer as an experimental measure to improve train utilisation during the Diwali–Chhath period.
