  • According to the prosecution, he leveraged his status as a well-known organist and as a police employee and presented himself as a celibate gay man.
  • He was removed from duty in August 2024 following an initial complaint and was arrested on 14 April 2025 in Altena, with four criminal complaints filed in total.
  • The Rijksrecherche is examining his role in a 17 April 2024 police van incident that injured a 59-year-old detainee, and the public prosecutor has not yet decided on charges related to that incident.
