Rotterdam Film Festival Announces 2025 Lineup and Talks Program

IFFR unveils global competition entries and confirms Cate Blanchett, Guy Maddin, and Cheryl Dunye for its Talks series.

The 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) will run from January 30 to February 9, 2025, showcasing a diverse lineup of films and events.
The festival's Tiger Competition features 14 world premieres, representing emerging voices from countries including Montenegro, India, and Malaysia.
Cate Blanchett and Guy Maddin will discuss their collaboration on the film 'Rumours' as part of the IFFR Talks program.
Other notable Talks include Cheryl Dunye and Albertina Carri exploring radical queerness in cinema, and cinematographer Lol Crawley reflecting on his career and receiving the Robby Müller Award.
The festival will open with Michiel ten Horn's dark comedy 'Fabula' and close with Mouly Surya's historical epic 'This City Is a Battlefield.'
