- Omari was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on 4 September after being convicted of three rapes and two indecent assaults against two girls abused in 2003–2004.

- He was cleared of one further count of raping a child under 13, and co-defendant Shafakit Hussain was acquitted of three rape charges related to the second complainant.
