Rother Council Opens £195 Household Support Payment, Wider Applications From 15 September

Overview

  • Current applications are limited to eligible households that did not receive a payment from HSF6 between 1 October 2024 and 31 March 2025, with broader eligibility opening on 15 September subject to remaining funds.
  • To qualify, applicants must be over 18, live in the Rother District Council area, be struggling to afford essentials, and receive Universal Credit with the housing element, Housing Benefit, or Council Tax Reduction.
  • The support is a single £195 payment per household, paid directly to the applicant’s bank account, with only one application allowed between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026.
  • Rother’s scheme is funded by East Sussex County Council through the Department for Work and Pensions’ Household Support Fund and may close early if the local allocation is exhausted.
  • Applicants can use the HSF portal with quick code 573B4L to find the Rother scheme, and previous HSF account holders can log in to reuse their details.
