Overview

• The auction at B3 awarded the 190.1 km concession to the consortium after a R$1.7 billion offer that represented a 13.2% discount versus the cap, defeating Houer Concessões' R$1.9 billion bid.
• The contract spans BR-356, MG-262 and MG-329 through 11 municipalities from Nova Lima to Rio Casca.
• Total investment is estimated at about R$5–6 billion over 30 years, including a R$2 billion public aporte tied to the Novo Acordo de Mariana.
• The program mandates full duplication of BR-356 plus additional lanes and 187 km of upgrades to boost safety on a route that has seen more than 600 crashes this year.
• Four electronic toll gantries are planned at Itabirito and Ouro Preto on BR-356, Acaiaca on MG-262 and Ponte Nova on MG-329, with the concession contract slated for signature before year-end.
