Rosaviatsia Lifts Short-Term Flight Limits at Sochi, Krasnodar and Gelendzhik

The regulator says the actions were temporary steps to ensure flight safety.

  • Operations at Gelendzhik are set to resume from 08:30 MSK, with Krasnodar from 09:00 MSK in line with the current NOTAM.
  • Sochi airport has also had its restrictions removed, with services resuming per operational guidance.
  • Rosaviatsia announced the latest removals overnight into January 21 following short-lived limits introduced on January 20 at the southern hubs.
  • Earlier on January 20, the agency reported that Samara, Yaroslavl and Volgograd had already returned to normal acceptance and departure of aircraft.
  • Rosaviatsia later added that Saratov’s Gagarin airport had its temporary limits lifted as well.
